Grocery Stores are extremely structured environtments (see earlier post). What happens when you make a simple alteration to an aisle? Confusion ensues! We assembeled a small wall of paper towels leaving a space small enough to allow one person through at a time. People became complety baffeled as to how to handle the obstacle in front of them. Some stop, stare, and retreat. Some leave their cart behind and go in solo.
